Dear QAI friends,
After much deliberation with our Board and partners, the Qatar-America Institute (QAI) regrets to inform you that we are postponing our Qatar Couture fashion production and Doha delegation program. This decision comes as a precautionary measure in response to the global health situation currently unfolding.
While we are certainly disappointed with this outcome and hope this comes at no major inconvenience, we must respect the concerns and the health of our guests, partners, and of our staff. With multiple cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) being reported in the host cities of our programming, QAI is taking the required measures to secure the safety and wellbeing of all those involved.
We anticipate hosting the Qatar Couture event on October 9, 2020, in Los Angeles, CA, and the delegations to Doha will be rescheduled to new future dates that best accommodate the requirements of the delegations and of the delegates. Please stay tuned for further updates on our programming that may have been affected by this unexpected turn of events.
We are diligently working on finding new suitable dates for the postponed events, in addition to the integration of new leadership into the organization and the unveiling of our new headquarters in DC later this year.
We greatly appreciate your understanding during this time, and please contact us with any questions regarding these postponements.
Thank you, and stay healthy!
