QAIC Hosts an Eid Celebration in Partnership with the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art

On Tuesday evening, QAIC hosted a vibrant celebration in honor of Eid al-Fitr, organized in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art (NMAA). The event began with a members-only reception, featuring QAIC’s signature mocktail with Vimto, along with hors d’oeuvres. Following the private reception, QAIC welcomed more than 150 guests.

The evening was filled with a variety of activities: a skilled henna artist was on hand to adorn guests with beautiful henna designs, while our special guest and grammy-award winning oud player, Rahim AlHaj, provided captivating music. Guests were treated to our aromatic alphabet experience, and guided tours of our Perfumery Museum and current exhibition, Research Labs.

Eid al-Fitr is a significant event marking the end of Ramadan. We were thrilled to share our celebration with the Arab American and DC community. We extend our gratitude to the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art for their invaluable contribution to making this event such a success.
