IMPART

IMPART is a platform created to celebrate the impact of QAIC’s art and cultural programs in both our local and international communities. These programs strive to elicit inclusion through expression and increase intercultural awareness to promote and connect innovators. The summit is an opportunity for stakeholders and potential partners to connect with QAIC and the larger Washington, D.C. community at large.

The IMPART Summit is an accessible opportunity for both creatives and innovators. QAIC will maintain this platform as a permanent space for memorable experiences, to facilitate dialogue to empower individuals. In that respect, QAIC will offer IMPART artist grants to prospective applicants to pursue their artistic projects, as well as QAIC’s platform to both discuss and share their work and inspiration.

IMPART 2023

QAIC is pleased to present its 2023 IMPART Summit: Congress for Creatives & Design Festival from Monday, October 16 to Sunday, October 22. The third iteration of an annual gathering of artists, creatives, and innovators this year’s Summit and Festival will address the intersection between art and technology through visual and olfactory arts, design and innovation. The Summit and Festival, occurring during National and DC Design Week, will include engaging panels and workshops, an exhibition and a pop-up shop meant to celebrate art, design and innovation from Qatar, the United States and the broader Arab and Islamic Worlds and foster the exchange of ideas.

IMPART 2023

IMPART 2022

IMPART 2022 commenced as an in-person event from Friday, December 09th  to  Sunday, December 11th, 2022. This year’s summit celebrated the culmination of QAIC’s yearlong focus on sustainability & the arts and featured expert panels and film screenings with current QAIC partners addressing sustainability in olfactory and culinary arts and film. The program also included a panel featuring our 2021 IMPART artist grant winners, a Souq featuring artists, fashion and other community vendors, community-based art making, interactive cultural experiences, and art exhibitions. IMPART 2021

The inaugural summit commenced on Friday, November 19th  to  Saturday, November 20th, 2021, in a hybrid virtual and in-person event. IMPART consisted of invite-only and public engagements that highlighted a variety of interactive cultural experiences and art exhibitions from the United States, Qatar, and the larger Arab and Islamic worlds. IMPART Artist Grants

“Connecting Creatives” and artist empowerment are central tenets of QAIC’s philosophy. In that vein, every year QAIC selects several promising artists to receive its IMPART Artist Grant which will “incubate” and support the artists for their artistic venture in the year to come. 2023 Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. In addition to the grant, selected artists will qualify to speak and exhibit their artwork at QAIC’s HQ in Washington D.C. in 2023.
