ArtWalk Dupont

ArtWalk Dupont is a rebrand and expansion of First Friday Dupont, a program that was started by Dupont Circle Main Streets and recently transitioned over to the Dupont Circle BID. This monthly event takes place on the third Thursday of each month and features the Dupont Circle arts community, as well as BID businesses.

Immerse yourself in Qatar America Institute for Culture’s (QAIC) multi-sensory Perfumery Museum, enjoy browsing QAIC’s art library, and view Research Labs (February 2 – August TBA, 2023), an exhibition from VCUarts Qatar.

The exhibition, which is part of an annual exchange between the VCUarts Richmond and VUCarts Doha campuses, features groundbreaking projects from eleven teams of faculty, students, and alumni. Projects exploring Arabic and cultural typography, emerging technology, nanotechnology and textiles, sound design, and more are featured in Research Labs. Together, these showcase the iterative explorations and areas of inquiry undertaken by the diverse teams including the research labs, Art Law Lab, Water With Water, TypeAraby, and xLab.

Research Labs marks the second collaboration between QAIC and VCUarts and inaugurates QAIC’s year-long focus on technology and the arts through exhibitions and programs.
