Film Friday (Public Day)

Join the Qatar America Institute for Culture for our monthly Film Friday. QAIC’s Film Fridays serve as an open house to view art on the screen at our Arab Film House, tour QAIC’s exhibitions, and enjoy some light snacks before starting your Friday evening.
Join us for the last Film Friday of the year to celebrate and watch DFI Alum and Qatari filmmaker Majid Al-Remaihi’s award-winning film, ‘And Then They Burn The Sea.’ The film recently won the top prize in the Fiction and Documentary International Competition at the Vienna Shorts Film Festival, and has qualified for the European and Austrian Film Awards, among others.
The second film will feature Qatar Embassy’s 50th anniversary documentary called “Qatar-USA: A Half Century Journey.” The documentary was first premiered at the 50th Qatar-USA gala earlier this year.
