QAIC and DIY Scent Studio Host Inaugural Perfumery Museum Workshop

On August 12, Qatar America Institute for Culture and DIY Scent Studio hosted the inaugural ‘Perfumery Workshop.’ Sherry Meredith and Gretchen Sterling from DIY Scent Studio shared their knowledge and experience creating perfumes and assisted the attendees with making their own scents. At each workstation was an individual organ with over 100 scents and a color wheel describing the scents – some being smoky, fruity, woody, earthy, or even scents of animal pheromones. Attendees of the event were able to learn the history of olfactory art, experiment with over 75 individual scents, and take home two 10mL bottles of their own creations.
