QAIC Celebrates Garangao

On Wednesday, April 5th, QAIC opened its doors to the public to commemorate Garangao. Garangao [Ga-ran-ga-oh] is celebrated on the 14th night of the holy month of Ramadan. The celebration is unique to the Arabian Gulf countries, primarily Qatar. During Garangao, children adorn traditional clothing and go door-to-door collecting sweets and treats from neighboring family and friends.

In addition to playing traditional Garangao songs, QAIC celebrated with the distribution of dates, candy and toys.
