QAIC Celebrates World Chocolate Day

This month, ArtWalk Dupont’s First Friday event coincided with World Chocolate Day. QAIC pulled out all the stops, receiving over 1,000 guests, smashing our record for high attendance.

Through a partnership with locally renowned gelateria, Dolci Gelati, we were able to share cups of their exquisite chocolate gelato. The aroma of rich chocolate filled the air, creating a mouthwatering ambiance, setting the tone for the evening’s festivities.

Before the doors even opened at 5 PM, guests were queuing up to tour our space, and with great anticipation of tasting the gelato we promised. Crafted with authentic Italian techniques, the four flavors offered delivered a burst of chocolatey goodness with every spoonful.

While some attendees came specifically to explore QAIC’s current exhibits: The VCUarts Qatar Research Labs and Pearls of Wonder: a digital era, others were drawn in by the gelato, then discovered our current exhibits.

Guests were able to tour our one-of-a-kind Perfumery Museum, immersing themselves in the fascinating world of fragrances while learning about the history and artistry behind perfume-making in the Middle East. Combining art, technology, sensory, and culinary experiences created a truly immersive and engaging evening.
