We are incredibly proud to announce that our Executive Director, Fatima Al-Dosari, has been named as one of the 40 Under 40 Arab Americans 2023, a celebration and recognition of accomplished young Arab Americans. This initiative led by the Arab America Foundation spotlights Arab American professionals in all fields, including government, education, law, nonprofit, public service, business, and others.
Fatima has been leading the Institute’s Cultural mission since 2018. She is a cross-cultural communications professional with over ten years of experience in building bridges between her home country, Qatar, and the United States. Fatima currently pursues her passion for cultural diplomacy as the Executive Director of Qatar America Institute for Culture (QAIC; pronounced ‘cake’). Through art exhibitions, immersive cultural experiences, and scholarly opportunities, Fatima leads the institute’s efforts to further strengthen cultural understanding, dialogue, and appreciation between Qatar, the United States, and the larger Arab and Islamic worlds. As a woman-led startup, Fatima aims for QAIC to serve as a hub for cultural education, peace-building, and authentic representation of her culture and heritage, providing all creatives (especially women) with opportunities for more diversity, accessibility, inclusion, and a sense of belongingness. Fatima’s previous work experience includes managing various projects for international organizations in the media industry and UN agencies. She also consulted for several governmental organizations, academic institutions, and corporations both in Qatar and the U.S. focusing on strategic communication, data analysis, and policy on topics such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), particularly in relation to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Fatima’s vision, commitment, drive, and ability to cultivate partnerships at the highest levels has earned her a well-deserved spot on this highly prestigious list.
