The Mokha Institute at QAIC

On August 17, QAIC had the pleasure of hosting the Mokha Institute, founded by an American of Yemeni descent, Mokhtar Al Khanshali. During their visit to QAIC, they presented a variety of specialty coffee beans sourced from Yemen; attendees could taste different types of fruity, earthy, and chocolatey coffee. In addition, attendees also learned about Yemen’s coffee industry in producing coffee beans to improve the livelihood of coffee farmers, exporters, and retailers.

The Mokha Institute aims to enhance and promote economic growth, create a market for Yemeni coffee producers to engage international buyers directly, and expand the market for Yemeni coffee.
