Women Ambassadors Conference and Reception

On Thursday, March 30th, Qatar America Institute for Culture was pleased to participate in the Women Ambassadors Foundation’s Conference on Diplomacy, Geopolitics, and Women’s Rights at Howard University. Thursday morning, QAIC Executive Director, Fatima Al-Dosari, was featured on a panel titled “Fireside Chat on Leadership.” Fatima spoke alongside Editor-in-Chief of Harvard Business Review, Amy Bernstein, Executive Director of the Clara Lionel Foundation, Justine Lucas, Managing Director of the Boccard Life Sciences, Sonia Richi and author Dawn Brockett. The panel was moderated by Amal Bennet-Judge. The women discussed their leadership styles, professional growth and dispensed advice for those in the audience.  

Thursday evening, QAIC hosted the conference reception. More than 100 individuals attended the reception and enjoyed QAIC’s Perfumery Museum and Research Labs exhibition. Following welcome remarks by Fatima Al-Dosari and Conference organizer, Dr. Marilyn Sephocle took the stage, Phylicia Rashad addressed the audience. Rashad is Dean of the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts, and the inaugural holder of this chair at Howard University.  The conference and its reception was an incredible celebration of the power and necessity of women in leadership roles.
